UTI

UTI

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that occurs anywhere in the urinary system, including the bladder, kidneys and urethra. UTIs are typically caused by bacteria entering the urinary tract through the urethra. While infections of the lower urinary tract are more common, it's possible for a UTI to spread to the upper tracts of the body, such as the kidneys. Symptoms of a UTI include pain or burning when urinating; pressure in your abdomen or pelvis; cloudy, bloody, or strong-smelling urine; and feeling tired or sick.

If you think you may have a UTI, it's important to seek medical care right away. CleCare Urgent Care provides prompt treatment for UTIs and other conditions. During your visit, your provider will conduct an evaluation to determine if you have a UTI, take a urine sample for testing, and provide appropriate treatment. Depending on the severity of the infection, treatment may include antibiotics or other medications. In some cases, further testing may be needed to pinpoint the cause of the infection and rule out any underlying health conditions.
