Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is a riad?A traditional Moroccan Riad is a home with multiple stories centered around an open-air courtyard with a fountain. Riads were once the estates of the wealthiest citizens, merchants, and courtiers. The riads we’ve selected have 5 - 12 rooms and each has its own style.
-
How do I book my accommodations?Because we have fully privatized the five riads, the rooms are not available through the usual booking sites or platforms. If you try, you’ll see the rooms are ‘not available.’ We are finalizing a simple, web-based system to enable our guests to select and pay for the rooms. We will have an update by the end of November so please stay tuned. Don’t worry, the rooms are blocked and the rates are fixed. In the meantime, here is the google map of all of the riads for you to check out and here is a price list for the rooms. Did we make this aspect of wedding and travel planning slightly more complicated by privatizing these riads? Yes. But we think it will be worth it to be walking distance from each other, create a group dynamic within each riad, and plus the riads are pretty rad.
-
I’m not feeling the riads. What are my other options? We understand! Here are some hotel options:
-
How do I get from the airport to the riads? We will come back to you on this, but most of the riads will help arrange transportation from Marrakech airport.
-
Any recommendations on what to pack?Clothes.
-
What will the weather be like?Very nice.
-
I can’t make it for all of the days, is that ok?Yes! Please come for as long as you can. We’d love to spend time with you however long or short it will be. And if you can’t make it, we understand as well. It is just a party.

Do you guys have a registry? Can I buy you a wedding present? We don’t have a registry or desire wedding presents. Your presence at our wedding is a present! If you still feel compelled to give a gift, please consider making a donation to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in honor of Jason, Sarah’s brother.
